A charity fashion event by Mayamiko Trust in collaboration with Slaves of the Extraordinary

Mayamiko Trust is a UK registered charity that works to help people lift themselves out of poverty through skills training, education, nutrition, sanitation and fairer trade practices. The objects of the Trust are to promote sustainable development for the benefit of the public by: • The relief of poverty and the improvement of the conditions of life in socially disadvantaged communities in all parts of the world and particularly in Africa • The promotion of sustainable means of achieving economic growth and regeneration in all parts of the world and particularly in Africa • The relief of unemployment for the benefit of the public in such ways as may be thought fit including assistance to find employment in such parts of the world including Africa as the Trustees may from time to time think fit.

• To relieve sickness and financial hardship and to promote and preserve good health including but not by way of limitation those infected or affected by HIV/AIDS by the provision of funds, goods or services of any kind including through the provision of counselling and support in such parts of Africa and the world as the Trustees may from time to time think fit.

To raise money for this cause, On October 15th, fashionistas with a conscience will be gathering at The Roof Gardens, Kensington, London for ‘Inspired’ – a creatively explosive charity event created by Mayamiko Trust in collaboration with Slaves of the Extraordinary.
Mayamiko, an organisation that works to support creative talents and turn them into sustainable activities, is collaborating with the creative collective – Slaves of the Extraordinary – a group of talented creatives who, through their collective works, showcase the height of forward thinking, imagination and creativity.

Together they are organising what promises to be a creatively explosive fundraising event. The night will be a symbiosis of charity, ethical fashion, music and dance promoting the works of Mayamiko Trust, raising funds in support of such works and showcasing the amazing talents of fantastic designers, dancers, artists and musicians. Catwalks include Ethical Fashion Innovation Award Winners and African Fashion Week rising stars Mia Nisbet, Kenema, Feng Ho, Bestow Elan and more. As well as enjoying the spectacle of the ‘Inspired’ Fashion Show, guests will enjoy champagne and canapés in one of the city’s most beautiful locations – together with an ‘Inspired’ programme of music, dancing and entertainment. There will be plenty of opportunities for guests to support the Charity including a fabulous Silent Auction prize with donated pieces from the designers collections.
